Friday, May 13
10h45 – 11h30

In the mid nineties SMS TV was launched. You could watch TV and send an SMS that would immediately appear on the screen. And your friend, sitting next to you or watching the same channel in another city, could reply. What has happened since then? Have broadcasters embraced the massive growth of smartphones and is everybody launching Transmedia projects using the camera, bluetooth, GPS, compass, accelerometer, Facebook, Google, WiFi, infrared features of the viewers? And what about games? Can I take my favourite MMO with me on a bus? Can I play fwith my mobile against an ennemy on a console?I will try to give an overview of some of the possibilities of the more advanced interactions mobile handsets are capable of in the context of TV, Console and PC.The talk will not be technical, but will focus on new concepts and designs, using best practices of a few recent projectsand some new ideas in the area of location based applications.
