Susana Ruiz is a media artist, designer and doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California focused on the areas of design and social justice, digital media and learning, and games and art practice. Ruiz is co-founder of Take Action Games, a collaborative design studio specializing in games for change. Ruiz is currently working with the Independent Television Service (ITVS) on their Women and Girls Lead Initiative, and is a Games For Change advisory board member.

TAG is an award winning design studio specializing in games that traverse the intersections of art, activism, ethics and documentary. TAG’s philosophy is rooted in creating experiences that encompass the personal stories of individuals combined with the unique affordance of games to model broader historical, political, and societal systems.

Founded by Congress in 1988 and funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the Independent Television Service (ITVS) has become the single largest independent programming source for U.S. public television. Women & Girls LEAD is an ITVS multi-year public media initiative to focus, educate, and connect audiences worldwide to raise awareness and engagement around key global issues facing women and girls today.
