This presentation will explore the prevailing conditions that have converged to create Transmedia as an expression of the age of the network. Transmedia demonstrates many features of the social and cultural condition of creators and audiences in constant contact with each other and the content they consume. Special consideration will be given to how non-commercial forces are shaping an innovation cycle that draws on the power of fan-culture to subvert tradition media in Transmedia production. New trends will be exlpored as evidence and examples of leading edge drivers in the space.
